Southern Courier Article

The above article was published in the Southern Courier on the 30th of August 2011.

Because of the support and kindness of the families that attend Platinum Pre School and all the people that have supported us in our first year of operation, we were recently awarded the Randwick City Business Excellence Award for Outstanding Child Care within the Randwick Council Area. Our nomination came from all the votes we received and the award itself was decided upon by a rigorous judgement process which covered business presentation, product, value for money and customer service. We even had mystery shoppers and phone calls.

Randwick Deputy Mayor Kiel Smith said this year we received a record number of nominations with nearly 11,000 people voting for their favourite local business.

"The judges had a tough time, but from 10,915 nominations, 149 businesses were selected as finalists across 24 categories," said Cr Smith.

"I would like to congratulate all the local businesses nominated in the Randwick City Business Excellence Awards 2011 and I look forward to seeing all the winning businesses displaying their award for all to see."

"Managing a business successfully is no easy task. It takes a tremendous amount of hard work, dedication and passion for what you do," said Cr Smith

"The Business Awards are about celebrating and recognising those local businesses in Randwick City that have gone the extra mile and exceeded the expectations of customers, clients and the community."
